Finding nutritious meat-free options to eat in a new country can be overwhelming. Myself, I spend a good hour googling and making a list of restaurants that offer plant-based options way before we get on the plane to our destination. I like to be prepared as I don’t like to compromise when it comes to my food.
If you don’t know the city at all, it could be very challenging to try to figure out where the best food options are. It’s even harder if you have limited time on your hands. We stayed in Kuala Lumpur several times now, so I had a chance to try out many restaurants and cafes. I have come up with a list of vegan-friendly restaurants that serve delicious meals to satisfy even the fussiest eaters.
This place was so good that we had to come back for more. Even though a lot of dishes contain meat in it, they do have a nice vegetarian- friendly options as well. Treat yourself with some beautifully crafted mushroom dumplings or peanut sauce noodles. Or both!
This is your ultimate vegan pit stop. The restaurant is just another proof of how delicious vegan food can be. Their mushroom tacos were the best tacos I’ve ever tried. Period.
What Tasty Food serves vegetarian and vegan-friendly fusion food. This place would be great for a feast with several friends or family, as the dishes served are quite big. Great food and overall pleasant experience. Indian food lovers would appreciate it especially.
The shopping mall offers a big variety of cuisines where you can pick some vegetarian options from. One shop, specifically, offers food that’s not meat but still looks just like it. Do you know that bacon that actually is tofu but still tastes just like bacon? Yup, you can find it there along with other similar dishes. The stall has a sign ”vegetarian” over it, so it won’t be too hard to find.
This place is the last on my list for now. It’s a very affordable, everyday breakfast/lunch place that serves simple but tasty food. You won’t find any vegan options there, but if you are ok with dairy and eggs then you will be pleased with the taste and the prices.
